From Forecast to Fabric: Designing for A/W 26–27 with Weaver AI
A dragonfly motif inspired by WGSN’s Naive Kidult trend, turned into a men’s shirt design using Weaver AI — from text prompt to virtual try-on in one seamless loop.
The Result: A dragonfly pattern on a men’s shirt — from WGSN forecast to realistic model photos — all in one session.

This post shows the process of taking inspiration and converting it into a final product — and then going even further using the Flash Model Virtual Try-On feature from Weaver AI.
For this design exploration, I leaned into WGSN's forecast for Autumn/Winter 2026–27, focusing on the Naive Kidult theme — a nostalgic, playful take on adulthood that merges fantasy with everyday wear.
Step 1 — Clear Creative Vision
The direction was simple and sharp:
"Create a repeating pattern using a dragonfly motif, in white, set against a natural indigo background. Show dragonflies from multiple angles."
This brief was rooted in nature, storytelling, and the magical realism of the Kidult aesthetic.
Step 2 — Text-to-Design Pro Generation
With that vision and one reference image, I turned to Text-to-Design Pro inside Weaver AI.
The result? Clean, layout-ready surface patterns — no manual cleanup, no raster issues. The motifs were precise, repeatable, and production-ready in just a few clicks.
Step 3 — Mockup Application
Next, I applied the generated pattern to a men’s shirt mockup to preview scale, proportion, and visual impact.
It was exactly what I had imagined — playful, mature, and wearable.
Step 4 — Virtual Try-On
Using Weaver AI’s Virtual Try-On, I viewed the design on photorealistic model images. Lighting, folds, fabric behavior — it felt like a professional photoshoot, without the time or cost.
The Game Changer
A fully visualized concept in under an hour.
This wasn’t just a faster workflow — it was a creative workflow. I stayed true to the idea, refined the details, and saw it come to life instantly.
What would normally take a week of design back-and-forths was done in one focused session — and that’s the magic of Weaver AI.
What would you create if your entire sampling process took less than an hour?
